Does anybody have any information on descendants of Rev. Sidney Kidd Bliss and his wife Helen? His parents were Wilbur A. Bliss and Winifred Kidd Bliss of Beaver. Reverend Bliss married Helen Swanson in Pittsburgh in October 1943, and passed away in Fort Myers, Florida in 2002.

One of Helen's brothers was First Lieutenant William Swanson, a World War II MIA. Lieutenant Swanson and my uncle, First Lieutenant Irwin Zaetz, served together on an Army Air Force B-24 aircraft when it disappeared on January 25, 1944 on a flight from their base in south China to another airbase in northeast India. All eight crewmen were declared MIA and eventually presumed dead.

This past December, a private American researcher discovered the wreckage of their aircraft in a remote part of northeast India. My family, including Lieutenant Zaetz's sole surviving brother Larry (my father), have been attempting to locate surviving relatives of the crewmen to notify them of the discovery of the wreckage. Any surviving relatives could donate DNA samples to assist in the identification of remains. An obituary of Rev. Bliss would be especially helpful.
