Formerly of New Brighton- Jeanette Irene Kester, 91, of Tustin, CA, formerly of New Brighton, died 19 Dec 2002, in Santa Anna, CA. Born 9 Sep. 1911, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late William Henry and Nellie Ann (Pearson:should read Pierson) Powell, she was a longtime resident of New Brighton and was a member of the First Church of God, New Brighton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C Kester, in June 1974; eight sisters, Orpha Graves, Alma Hogue, Flora Moore, Rosie Milhorn, and Berth, Lavada, Annie and Marie Powell and four brothers, Dick Powell, Hoyt Powell, Ivan Powell, and Willard Powell. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William K. and Dolores Kester; a granddaughter, Linda Simpson; a grandson, William J. Kester, and four great- grandchildren, all of Tustin, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was in New Brighton and she was buried in Daughtery township.

I'm looking for anyone with information about these Kesters or Powells. Would like to find a living member of the family. They are my cousins.
