Thank you very much for your response. The marriage license (July, 1854) of Hannah Wertz (b. 1836) and Joshua Troxel names Jesse and Mary Ann Wertz as the parents of Hannah so I am assuming that the Jesse and Margaret Magdalena that you found are indeed Hannah's parents. Is this info from a marriage license? I do not know if Hannah's mother (Mary Magdalena) remarried after Jesse died in 1844 or if she predeceased him because I can find no information about another marriage or her death but now I can explore the Harman line with this new info that you have supplied. Do you know if Jesse and Margaret had any other children? Thank you for confirming that John Wertz (b. 1819) is the son of Henry and Susan. I have found evidence that Louisa Wertz (b. 1824) may also be child of Henry and Susan. On the website, the gravestone of Susan Thoman Wertz also has the name of Mary M. Wertz (1793-1855) listed on it so Mary M. may be the second wife of Henry. There is a Sarah C. Wertz (1835-1914) who could possibly be the child of Henry and Mary M. or she might even be the child of Jesse and Margaret but I have not been able to confirm either of these relationships. Do you have any info on this?
