Am searching for anyone doing research on the KIME family in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
Have heard there is a book (pamphlet, article, family chart ??) out there some where in the world called:
"Kime & related families of Adams County, Pennsylvania"
It has been stated that my husbands 3rd Great Grandmother is in it. Would dearly LOVE to peruse this article.
MARY A KIME or MARY A CHRISTINA KIME
She might have gone by the nick name of "TENA".
I have her listed as CHRISTINA KIME b. abt. 1803-1806 in Pennsylvania who married Bef. 1829 probably in Pennsylvania to a (_____) FRY. They had one child in Pennsylvania, Martin, before moving on to Ohio where they had two other children, Catherine and Samuel. Her husband (_____) Fry died Between Feb 1839 to about 1842 in either Ohio or Indiana.
CHRISTINA (KIME) Fry then married a FREDERICK HARTSOCK [Hardsock] between 1840 - 1842 in either Ohio or Indiana. They migrated to Indiana where they had four children, Hannah, Daniel, Mary and Lovinia (Lovina). They then migrated to Polk Co., Iowa - arriving there in abt. 1849. Her 2nd husband died between 1852-1856 prob. in Polk Co. CHRISTINA remained in Polk Co. and died there in 1881. She is buried at Ridgedale Cemetery, Polk County, Iowa as CHRISTINA HARTZOG. Her son SAMUEL FRY and his wife are buried in the same cemetery.
I have the 1850 Census w/CHRISTINA (she is listed as MARY A. HARTSOCK) and FREDERICK and children and also the 1856 Iowa State Census w/Christina (listed as CHRISTINA HARTSOCK), 2 of her HARTSOCK children and 1 FRY child.
Please - anyone with information concerning the KIME family of Adams County, Pennsylvania, contact me.
Also - please contact me if you are a descendant of any of the above people. Shared research goes much easier. :o)
