Lisa: I am also looking for information on Hoffman/Bercaw. I come from the John and Lucinda (Bercaw) Hoffman line. They were my gggrandparents. I have information from another cousin's research that John's father was Henry and he was married to Anna Maria. Now I look at your posting and see that Michael was his father. I am trying to locate who John's parents were as well as brothers and sisters, which you have also listed. Is their anyway you can clear up this information for me? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Other information I have on the Hoffman side is that John and Lucinda were married 12/5/1867. John died 7/10/1890 in Gettysburg, PA (this is not verified yet). They had a son JOhn George Henry Hoffman who married 1st Annie Barbara Kunkle. She died in 1891 when my grandmother was only abt 15 mon. old. My grandmother's name was Bessie Hoffman. JOhn married again to Annie Smith, date unknown. They had 2 children a daughter married to a Deatrick and Luella married to Edward Dennis. Edward was the son of my guncle.
I found the obit for John George Henry Hoffman in the Star & Sentinel, Gettysburg, PA Feb 8, 1941. the obit states he shot himself in the kitchen of his home with his wife present. It also lists brothers and sisters as Mrs. Gertrude Tawney, Mrs.Harvey Bollinger, Mrs. Melvin Cullison, C.B. Hoffman (possible Bernard C. Hoffman) and William Hoffman. Thats about all I know about him and his family. So again any help you can provide would be grearly appreciated.
