Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I searched "The Brethren Encyclopedia" and it also referenced its founding in 1741 and that it was located in York and Adams Co. It eventually split in the Upper and Lower Conewago congregations. You may want to contact the Brethren Historical Library and Archives. Find their web site at www.brethren.org and then search. Also the librarian, Ken Shaffer may be contacted at kshaffer_gb@brethren.org. Good luck.
