Hi Barry:
Joseph Oyer I, born in 1774 in Hemersbergerhoff, Germany had a son, Joseph II, born in 1814 in Niderhof, Lorraine, France. He married Anna Schmidt (Roth) who was born in Alsace, France in 1814. I believe they are buried in the Mennonite Church cemetary, Roanoke, Ill. They had a son, Christian, b.5/18/1852, d.5/20/1929. He married Katherine Zehr, b.4/2/1858, d. 4/14/1921. They are buried in East Bend Cemetary, Fisher, Ill. Christian and Katherine had a son, Jacob b.5/24/1877, d. 10/25/1966 who married Elizabeth Zehr, b.10/13/1877, d. 7/12/1952. They are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetary, Deer Creek, Ill. To Jacob and Elizabeth was born Harold Oyer, b. 2/9/05, d. 2/25/61, who married Goldie Miller, b.2/15/08, d. 3/31/97. They are also buried in Mt. Zion cemetary, Deer Creek, Ill. They are my parents.
