Thanks for responding.I don't have info on Sarah's parents.I have Barbara Susanna Thompson as their daughter and she married (if it is the same Susanna Thompson) Eli Thomas Stephens b. 1792 (from Robeson County) and died in Gonzales, Texas 1867. Susanna died 1872. They helped start the Baptist church in Gonzales. Their son Barnabus was my great great granfather.I just needed some verification that Barbara Susanna and Susanna were the same.James Thompson's widow Nancy (who we assume later married Jacob Garner) sold land to Eli and Susanna Stephens that was part of the James Thompson Spanish Land grant in Gonzales, Texas. Names mentioned onpaperworkin 1845 and 1846, 1850, etc. were William Thompson (attorney), James, Andrew, Henry D. and David Thompson as well as Nancy and Jacob Garner. The land grant would have been Nancy's and her sons I believe. It would be a great coincidence to me if Susanna was not related at all. I just don't have any proof of her exact line.I would be interested in any Thompson info as well as Oxendine. We of course were told for a long time that Susanna was the daughter of James Thompson to whom the Spanish Land grant was given and would have placed my family here before 1846.Who knows? Thanks, Pat
