I have William Burton Owsley in my database and can send you a good bit of information tying him back into the entire Owsley Family that this forum represents. I also suggest you visit owsleyfamily.org to join the Owsley Family Historical Society. I also show a couple of second cousins of yours, David Thomas Owsley and Chad Stewart Owsley. I will email you the info in addition to typing some of it here.

William Burton Owsley, b. 1848 in Osage County, Missouri, d. 1923 Hickory County, Missouri. Married 1870 Pauline M. Walker, b 1843. Parents - Emmanuel M. Owsley, b. 10/9/1826, Claiborne County, Tennessee, d. 3/20/1892, Hickory County, Missouri. Married 3/12/1846 to Sarah Minerva Cox, b. 1/5/1827 d. 8/27/1876. I show 13 children for Emmanuel and Sarah.

Parents of Emmanuel Owsley - Robert Noble Owsley, abt1802-abt1858, m abt 1818 to Nancy Elizabeth Miller, 1803-1887.

Parents of Robert Noble Owsley - John Owsley, b 11/6/1757, Loudon County, VA d 12/19/1845 Claiborne County, TN, m 8/16/1778 to Charity Barton 2/12/1760-2/20/1848.

There is plenty more available but that is enough to tie you into the well-documented Owsley genealogy.
