Yes, I learned some time ago to use information from the Internet only as a guide, helping in finding possible ancestor and family members. Where others have mentioned time frame and places for birth, death or marriage records in which to search.
I have also found these different spellings in my family line and of course, you have to check them all out. From James Ownbey's Revol
