I have compiled a tree of ancient Ondeby/Oneby's from the works of John Nichols in "A History and Antiquities of Leicester County". I have attached Arthur Onby (the first known Ownby in America). There is no proof that Arthur comes from this family, but the evidence is pretty close. You may view this tree at:
