In Reply to: Owensby/Massey/Cook/Scarbrough/Callahan(Callaham)/Weaver - Henry Co Ga by Shirley of 285

Shirley, Nancy Morgan was the sister of Millington Morgan, per her obit. Nancy & husband Thomas Owensby lived near Millington Morgan in Henry Co., GA.

I, too, am interested in who the T. Massey was on 1850 Henry Co., GA census. There may have been a connection with the following land record:

Source: Henry Co., GA Land Records 1821-28, Deed book G, p. 263:

p. 347 Henry Co. William MORGAN sold to Thomas MASSEY, both of said co. on 9/24/1835, for the sum of $250, the west half of lot 34, Dist. 14, 101 1/4 acres. Wit: James S. Jones, J.P., Hardy Hinton & Wm. L. Tuggle. Rec. 11/28/1835.

Do you have addt'l info on the Francis Cook you mention?

Why do you think Nancy had brothers named Christopher, Millington & William?

I have more info on Millington Morgan. Millington was alive for the 1880 census. It was reported to the census taker that Millington was born in SC, his father in VA and mother in SC. His will was written in 1882 and he died in 1886. His daughter, Mary Ann Angel Morgan was executrix.
