The Matilda Owensby you are looking for was my grandfather, John Noah Wilbur Alexander Owensby's sister. I have her in my Family Bible as Tilda and she married Jack Mitchell. Her father was Johnathan Owensby. You know how nicknames and name shortening happens so I guess her kin called her Tilda. If you are sure her name was Matilda I will tell my dad and we can all correct it in our Bibles. please let me know about the spelling of her name.
