Frank Alexander Owenby was born 4/4/1854 in Jefferson (County?), GA. I had assumed for years he was the son of Amos Owenby. I recently found Frank's death certificate, which lists his parents as George Owenby and Mattie (O.?) Bristow. As Frank's wife was the informant, the name Bristow may not be accurate. I have found George Washington Owenby (son of Porter Owenby/Martha Morgan) to be in the right place/right time with 1st wife Martha ? and 2nd wife Temperance (Tempy) Bristol. Nowhere among the 12 children listed in several sources do I find a Frank or Francis. I'm stumped. Can anyone shed some light on this? I know there is another George Owenby, son of Thomas Owenby, but the similarity in Bristow/Bristol caught me on this George. Help!
