The parents of Martha F. Hill were William Hill and Martha Seamster, who married 17 Jan 1842 in Pittsylvania Co., VA. I have no other information on this family; this is from research for a friend of mine whose grandmother was an Owen or Owens.
As for Wesley Elliott (b. 1825), the only one I have in my files is the son of John Elliott b. 1801 in Pitts. Co and Suzanna May; they married 21 Dec 1821. Wesley's siblings were Thomas Jefferson Elliott (b. 3 Nov 1831) and Martha (b. c1835). The parents of John Elliott were James Elliott (b. c1753 in Baltimore Co., MD, d. Feb 1830 in Pitts. Co., VA) and Mary (no known last name). James Elliott was the son of Philip Lock Elliott and Sarah Day. This Philip Lock Elliott has been a mystery for years as to how he relates to the other Elliotts in Baltimore Co. He lived on My Lady's Manor in Baltimore Co., next to William and Mary Elliott, my line. I do not know if the fore mentioned Wesley Elliott was the one who married Martha Ann Hill in 1850, but he appears to fit the picture.
Thanks for the pension info on George Rufus.
