I am searching for Overstreet family, Dallas Texas. G-Gr mthr was Mattie Mae Overstreet. She was born June 26, 1900. She was 75 yrs when she died. In 1910 she is listed along with her brother, Damner and Sister Bessie at the Juliette Fowler Orphan home in Dallas. She lived with several people before being adopted by the osburn/osborn family. Her father was Will Overstreet, Mae's notes in my g mthr bible states her father was murdered in Dallas. Their mother Isabell Tate sent the youngest children to the orphan home after his death. Mattie never found her mother but Bessie became Bess York and lived in Midland texas. Damner was never located by Mattie or Bessie. Bess and Mattie had written several letters trying to find their mother Isabell and information regarding their father Will but I have not been able to locate letters with a response. I was told response letters could have been in Bess York possession. Notes also indicate they had a younger sister but no name mentioned.
If anyone has information for Isabell Tate, Will Overstreet or Damner I would love to hear from you.
