My grandparents on my mother's side were from Washington, Maine. In my research, I found that three of my grandfather's family had married "Overlocks". My grandfather married a Florence A. Overlock (born about 1874)when he was older. I just learned that the "Overlock" name was from a previous marriage, her maiden name was Newhall.
Another connection we have with the Overlocks was my mother's uncle's mother who was Amelia Overlock.
Another sister of my grandfather was Lila Light who married an Alton Overlock (born about 1886).
Some of our birth, death, or marriage records show an Overlock that signed the papers as a secretary or something.
Just wondering if there are others that have ancestors from that area.
