Hi,
this probably has nothing to do with your tree but I was wondering if you had come across the following Ovens names in the course of your research.
All I have is Margaret Janet Ovens and twin John Ovens aged 1month in the 1881 Census born Edinburgh and residing with my Noble /Hogg ancestors at Smeaton Rail, Inveresk.
I expect that the Ovens babies must be relatives of some sort but have found no trace of any other Ovens in our family and cannot find records of these childrens births.
My Hogg's lived all over the Borders and Lothians including at Eddlestone and Peebles in the mid 1800's but not at Biggar so I don't expect any ties to your Ovens ancestors, but thought it was worth a shot.
Do any of these ring any bells with you?
Sorry to be a pest,

All the best
Amanda
