To whom it may concern
I am Mrs. L. L. Gamble, formerly Nan Lucas of Tishomingo, Oklahoma.I am 47 years old and have known J. Frank Dalton practically all of my life.
My grandfather Edwin R. Lucas was a Captain in General Robert E. Lee’s Left Wing in the Confederate Army.My Great Uncle Oscar Lucas was first an Officer in Lee’s Right Wing and later was attached to Quantrill’s Raiders. When I was a little girl, I’ve often seen J. Frank Dalton visit with my Great Uncle Oscar Lucas.I’ve heard them telling about various incidents that happened while fighting various battles with Quantrill’s Raider, among the Jenkins Ferry. My grandfather often joined in their discussions. They are both dead now.
