Oh how i love a good mystery!
Betty,

If Starrs did not return the remains, where are they... uh... stored now?
Why should Ks. have the remains to examine when there are so many others wishing to do so?
What were the findings of the remains from Michael Finnegan at Ks. State?
What's the real truth behind Starrs not replacing them?
Was there an unseen powerful figure behind Starrs that threatened him?
Is this a plot to keep others from examining the remains?
Should the remains be the property of JWJ's birth state?
What became of all the "stuff" in the original grave"
Was no one willing to examine the bones from the original grave?
Who, really, is afraid of the truth?

Here's what i caught in your post:
Starrs said "the bones were too deteriorated"
Well, i do a lot of reading and i'm here to say "I ain't buying it." Just think back a monment of other great findings that maybe you've heard on the news or read about.
So now i ask you... were the bones really too deteriorated?
