George James, Sr. Born VA-died Henry County, KY

Looking for info on gr+ grandfather George James, whose birth and death dates unknown. Wife Mary whose maiden name may have been Mc Gee; daughters Ann and Mary, possibly son George, Jr. George's daughters were born around 1790, so his birth would be approx 20 years previous or thereabouts. He may have ended up in Kentucky because of a land "deal" that went bad in Stafford county, Virginia.

George and Mary's daughter Ann James married Abel Bland (my ancestors) in 1808 and he was alive at that time to sign for her. After that he disappears. He may have been Sr. and son Jr., as it appears he did sign, Geo. James, Sr. hard to read that section of the paper.

Although he is not listed as a "famous outlaw", I am running out of ideas on how to find what happened to him.

Thanks for any help, please respond via email as I do not use forums often.

Linda Snyder, KCMO
