Glynda, I'll keep looking for info concerning William C Anderson that you might not have, but you seem to access to all available.
What did you think of the Rootsweb tree that shows his father died in 1883? Each person I emailed for a source for that date sent me to another person, who sent me to another person, etc.
We know he wasn't on the 1880 census with his wife who is listed as a Widow, BUT, is was common to say you were a widow instead of admitting to the embarassment of being seperated. (I know, I know, that "BUT" sounds like I am using psychology to reason it out, BUT-BUT, I learned that from my days of searching records in person at the genealogies libraries)
