Colin, more back-up to the timeline, from an earlier post by Clay Riley:
Henry Ford, Rancher, County Clerk, Mayor of Brownwood and banker, details in his own figures and words the Tax Payers of Brown County from 1861, 1862 and 1863. The 1861 list mentions the early pioneers that include Moses G. Anderson, Brown County's first County Clerk, David Q. Anderson Moses' nephew from Stone County Missouri and other familiar names. For 1862 he lists the new tax payers arriving in 1862. For 1863 he does the same thing. Conspicious on that list are; Anderson F.M. (Francis Marion, older brother to David Q. James N. and William C.), Anderson, J.N. (James Noble Anderson) and Anderson, W. (this one is obvious, William, the younger brother to the other two).
Now Henry Ford had first hand knowledge, by both listing and collecting taxes from these people. If Brown County's William Anderson was here in 1863 and his wife pregnant with Francis Marion, his first child (named after his older brother) to be born the next May in 1864, then who was the person running all over Kansas and Missouri at that time claiming to be Bloody Bill Anderson ?
The answer of course, is the other William Anderson, William T that is, the REAL Bloody Bill, not William C. Anderson of Brown County.

Clay
