Where did you read that "Jesse tried to pull the same type of death hoax in 1879 with George Shepherd."
Do we know whom George Sheperd killed if he did kill someone and all of that in 1879?
"Shepherd was also claiming that Frank had died of tuberculosis." Read page 216 of Ted Yeatman's book.

I at one time believed in the death hoaxes of Jesse James, but not anymore.
