Hi Helen:
The Stewart County and Calloway County are interesting connections.
My SUMMERS lived in STEWART COUNTY, TN.
My LANCASTERs I believe were in Calloway County (it was Murray, KY anyway.)
SUMMERS:
WILLIAM SUMMERS m. MARY WHEAT
BASIL SUMMERS m. ANNE ELLIS
GREENBERRY SUMMERS m. REBECCA FRANCES WILSON
JAMES FRANKLIN SUMMERS m. TENNESSEE PORTER OUTLAW
It was James and Tennessee's children that lead to my LANCASTER.
Their daughter REBECCA JANE FRANCES SUMMERS. m. WILLIAM H. PARCHMAN.
TheY had IDA ELIZABETH PARCHMAN m. JAMES MONROE LANCASTER, son of JONATHAN LANCASTER and MARY MURPHREE.
They had my granddaddy, WILLIAM CLINT LANCASTER.

WILLIAM CLINT LANCASTER lived most of his life in Murray, KY

Right now I've been trying to figure out where my ggg grandmother, TENNESSEE PORTER OUTLAW, got into the OUTLAW line. She was supposed to have been part indian. She would have been my grandaddy's great grandmother.
Well, that's my story.
If any of these names fit anywhere, let me know.
James Summers and Tennessee Porter Summers got married in Stewart County, TN July 3, 1847....and I don't know if they moved or the county moved them...:)
But after 1850 they appeared to be living in Humphreys County from then on.
Thanks again,
Pam
