the Illinois Marriage Index shows a Noble Ousley married to Mrs. Angeline Ashton April 18, 1867 in McDonough Co, Illinois. Angeline had a daughter Emily (Emma) from her first marriage. Emma was my grgrandmother and am trying to find any information on her parents, step-parents available.
The 1870 census shows a Noble Housley, wife Angeline, step-daughter Emily C. Ashton and a son Richard Housley. The ages listed show a 30 year difference between Noble and Angeline. Noble listed as 69 born in TN, Angeline 39, born in Ohio. Looking for anything that might help further identify whether this is Housley, Owsley, Ousley, etc.. and what might have happened to Angeline and Noble. I do know that Emma married at 17 to John W Walter (LDS lists as Warter)and they moved to Nebraska sometime after 1885. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Peggy
