Duane,
I believe that we might have a connection to the Otten family. My ggrandmother was a Christina Otten b1849 in Paffandorf Prussia. I have traced her family back to a John Otten/Otter born 1620. Most of the family was from Rommerskirchen which is only about 13 miles north of Sindorf. It would seem that the two families are somehow connected. The little information that I have is
John Otten (b1620 - Gill - near Rommerskirchen)
Joannes (b1648 - Rommerskirchen)
Adam (b1676 - Rommerskirchen)
Peter (b1721 - Rommerskirchen)
Adam b1757 - Rommerskirchen)
