I am very glad we have connected. Confirming the Family lore answers some questions, but as always in Geneology it raises more questions. At least with David and Louises name we can search farther back. My Grandmother told me Pauline died in a scalding accident. Presumably she tipped over a hot kettle of boiling water onto herself. I was not aware of the twins though. We don't have the same history of twins from that side. How old are your twins? We have I son age 11. I'd love any names you can provide. I'd be happy to print out and send you some tree info. I have Family Tree Maker and am using it to create the family tree.
Oscar lived in Haddon Heights NJ, outside of Camden, where I also grew up. Oscar and my Grandmother did grow up in Camden and Collingswood NJ.
Interesting about the Sarasota Property. Is it still in the Family? I was told it was a big house on the main street in town. I do wonder if that is the place to start searching.
The indian blood issue is interesting. My Grandmother refuses to even consider the fact of this. Its amazing how the old folks felt. I wonder what Tribe? Do the photos you have give an indication? Probably a good place to start since every tribe dressed in a unoque manner. If we can find the tribe, I'll bet we can go further. The illegitimancy issue also confirms a feeling I've gotten from my Grandmother. She remembers way too much to conviently "forget" the answers to other questions.
The only info I have on your Grandfather, is that he was Castillan descend (fair haired) and that his cousin married one of your Grandmothers sisters. Is this correct? If any gossip did trickle down, my Grandmother isn't talking.
I think that we are 3rd cousins.
E-mail me directly next time and we can exchange addresses if you want.
