My Grandmother Theresa Ott (b.1873 and never married) was your G Grandfather's older sister. She had one son (out-of-wedlock), Fred Louis Ott, my Grandfather. We do not know for sure who his father is. I do not know any more about Gabriel Ott because before finding your web page and ancestry, we could not find anything past Theresa. However, you may know this, but after George Ott's first wife died, he and his three children moved in with Theresa and her son, Fred. They lived in the house behind or in the back part of the house (I'm not sure which but my dad would know) of Caroline Ott Ehrhart and her husband and four children, Louis, Thelma, Deloris, and Caroline Ehrhart. The three girls are still living and are in their early to mid 70's. Your G. Grandfather moved out when he remarried. You also list Mary Ott as a sister, but as far as we know, there was no sister named Mary. I would like to know more about your information regarding Mary or Theresa and if you know anything about who my G. grandfather might be. According to my uncle, Fred Ott, he was told by Louis Ehrhart (now dead), son of Caroline Ott, that it was Sylvester Breitenstein, owner of a machine shop, who was married and had two sons. Theresa Ott was a cook/maid for the Breitensteins and also took care of their son who was "aflicted". She did this until 1937, when Sylvester died and then his wife fired her. However, 6 months later, Mrs. Breitenstein tried to hire Theresa back and offered her a $2.00/week raise, from $5.00/week to $7.00/week. My G grandmother refused the offer. For your information, I was born May 21, 1957 and I have four sisters and two brothers. From oldest to youngest, Deborah (b. 1949), Susan (b.1951), Rebecca (b.1952), Robert (b.1953), myself, Stephen (b.1960), and lastly, Jennifer (b.1967). My parents are Robert Anthony Ott, (b. 1926) and Doris Kolb Ott (b. 1928). My paternal grandparents are Fred Louis Ott (b. 1903) and Justine Zipperle Ott (b. 1906). They married in 1922, when my grandmother was 16 years old. I hope this information is of some use to you. If you have any questions or additional information, feel free to e-mail it to me.
