I'm so delighted to see your very quick reply! Also glad you've seen the small family book I referred to - such a nice, warm book for the families involved to have. Of course, I understand the lack of true documentation to tie the generations together officially. It must be awfully difficult to find actual deeds or other official records from centuries ago.
I will write to you at your email address..... it would be fun to find out how you have documented the other links in your quest to join the Mayflower Society. It will be so interesting to see just how close we might be related, OR, actually, interesting to see how many people are between us, so to speak. Just reading this forum has been really interesting!
I'm just trying to document lines to my general satisfaction, and have been unable to trace the Glastonbury Otis families (who went to Massachusetts) to the early Otis group that landed in Connecticutt - something I'd love to be able to do. Evidently has something to do with Thomas, of Glastonbury, who evidently went to Ireland. And Robert, his descendent, was supposedly kidnapped and forced to work on a vessel bound for America. We don't even know for sure if he went to the Lyme area in Connecticut. Ah well - imagine trying to really document THAT story!
I look forward to our future communications!
