My Otero lineage is also of Spanish/Mexican origin.
I am a descendant of Pedro Jose Otero Duran y Chavez via my great-grandmother,Elvira Otero,who married Jose Gregorio Ara
gon.
I don't know where the name Otero originated,but I do that it has been traced back to Spain,Portugal,Italy,Ireland.
