I do have his naturalization certificate and petition papers, which say he is resident of Germany and removes his oath to the Kaiser. Unfortunately, the child that came with him died shortly after they arrived, so he didn't have his own papers.
I have the second marriage to BUDNIK, both the civil license and the parish record, but they also don't give the village. It seems that everyone just wrote Poland at the time. Would there be some other form of parish record other than the marriage registers of the church? Like you said, with Catholic churches, you usually have to prove your baptismal certificate or something similar. However, in those days, I wouldn't be surprised if they were less strict on this since everyone's records were in the old country.
It seems I've run out of records to check, unfortunately. I'm now trying to do some indirect methods such as looking for related families, possibly doing DNA testing, or anything else.
