Hello Terri,
I have a copy of Charles Ostrom's death notice that I made a copy of from my grandmother's scrapbook. The scrapbook consists of articles glued onto the pages of an old book. I don't know the dates of these articles, nor am I sure of the paper they came from other than probably LapeerCo., MI.I do not have access to that book at this time, but I can tell you what the article says.
Death of Charles Ostrom
Charles Ostrom died at the home of his son, Fred Ostgrom, in Elba township, Sunday morning after an illness of three or four days with pneumonia.
He was born in Ransonville, NY, March 27, 1851, and came to hadley with his parents at the age of four years. On September 2, 1877, he was married to Malvina TERRY and has made his home in Elba township ever since.Mrs. Ostrom passed away several years ago.
Mr. Ostrom was a member of the Hadley Federated church and of the Elba Center Arbor of Gleaners, and had served as justice of the peace for 20 years.
Funeral services are being held this Wednesday afternoon at the home of his son, Fred, with Rev. John Young officiating.Interment will be in Mt. Hope.
Well, Terri, this is all I can help you with at this time.If I learn more, or should I find more in another sorce, I will let you know.
