My notes of 1997...

I went to Denver (from Omaha) this past week and obtained a lot of info on
OSTRANDERs from City Directories, old magazines, interviews, etc.

I wish to share this Raw Data with all of you--let me know if it connects to
anything you have.

In Boulder County Directory 1898 I found the family of Othello Reed OSTRANDER

In Newspaper (Longmont Times Call) I found marriage record:
One month ago (January 1998) Katherine J. Ostrander married Ryan R. Zamudio
their address is 45 Denver Way, Longmont Colorado, 80503

Lillian Ostrander married Ruben B. Glaze in Georgetown Colorado 10-26-1875.
son Frederick Ernest GLAZE born Dec 7, 1876--mother born in Illinois

Daniel W. GLAZE died 5-28-1902 in Boulder
Miss Anna W. GLAZE died 12-29-1915 in Denver

>From Mayflower ancestors index Vol I, 1981:
Robert Ostrander married Elizabeth Augusta. Daughter Cornelia King Ostrander
married Hibbard Elijah Wetherall.

[These were brothers L. F. and Nelson Ostrander.]

An article in THE TRAIL vol XVI #4 pg 18 { written in 1896 about early
Colorado}

A rancher named Jack Ostrander had a place a little back from the road
connecting Grand Lake & Georgetown...hunters used to spend time there--

Earl F. Ostrander , 63, died in Whitter CA. Born July 31, 1816 in
Longmont,
Survived by wife, Trudy, and three brothers, Clarence of Denver, Arthur of
Longmont and Lawrence of Ojai CA. A daughter Earl Ann lives in Washington;
two
sisters, Dale in Chico CA and LaVern in Temple City CA. Four grandchildren.
Preceded in death by father, Arthur R. Ostrander SR. and mother, Nellie Mae
Marsh Ostrander.

Longmont Times-Call June 6, 1984

Mr and Mrs Arthur Ostrander celebrate 50th wedding anniversary.
He was native of Longmont, She moved to Longmont in 1930 from Royallton
Illinois.
She was born in Wylam Alabama.
Three children: Richard of Wheatridge, Nyla Dodd of Azusa CA , Arlen of
Longmont.
Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Peter Shenendoah Ostrander brought his family to Georgetown Colorado before
1870. He was a miner in Georgetown. He was born in Smithfield NY Nov 14,
1815.
He died October 2, 1885 in Denver.

Longmont Free Methodist Church pastor Rick Ostrander came to Longmont July
1977 after completing his studfies at Western Evangelical Seminary in
Portland
Oregon. Wife, Cindy, is a nurse at United Hospital.

Pastor Ostrander has two sons, Ryan 2 1/2 and Chris, 1 month.The church moved
to 1601 South Pratt Pky [in 1979]from the old location at 9th and Coffman.
{NOTE: the family of Othello Reed Ostrander was at 531 Coffman in
1898!!} tk
