Jeremiah SCHERMERHORN b.1768 and Aanntje (Rebecca) OSTRANDER (bet 1765/1775)
Need more information on this family. They are listed in the 1914 Schermerhorn Genealogy by Richard Schermerhorn, JR; but there is not much information given. Here is the basic information:
Ryer b.11 Aug 1793, Schenectady, NY; m. Anngelica Ostrander
Elizabeth b.11 Sep 1797, Schenectady, NY; m. William Fisher
Peter J. b.25 Aug 1850, Schenectady; m. Susan Jeffers
Maghdalena b.15 Oct 1809, Schenectady
Jeremiah b.29 Aug 1807
Helen B. m. Barney Goweway
Stephen b.1823
Maria m. John Herrington
I have found Jeremiah SCHEMERHORN listed in the 1810 and 1820 censuses of Schenectady Co, NY. It appears that he had at least two more sons – one born 1804/1810 and another born 1810/1820.
I have some information on Peter and Jeremiah that I will post separately.
I think the Schermerhorn family that is found in 1860 in Grant Co, Wisconsin is connected and will also post that information separately.
