Thank you for the information.
I have a very old family bible and in script on one of the iside pages is written the following:
"In kind remeberance of Our Dear Father Herman Bernard Ostendorff Born on Good Friday Apor 3rd 1821. A Native of Gross Reken Kreis borken Regierungsbezirk Munster Prussia."
and
"In kind rememberance of our Dear Mother Philomina Ostendorf. Born in Hannover Germany Aug the 29th 1832."
The names were spelled differently, but not certain which is correct.
