W.G.S. O'Shields never had much to say about the children of Nancy O'Shields but he sure had a lot to say about Wiley Drayton O'Shields Nancy O'Shields son. We all must remeber that W.G.S. O'Shields was the youngest child of Wiley Drayton O'Shields and Julia Smith O'Shields. We need to take a good look at the fact that my grandaddy W.G.S. O'Shields was not even born untill 1863. His grandmother Nancy O'Shields was born August 17' 1804. When W.G.S. O'Shields born in 1863 on the O'Shields side his grandmother did not even live in the house of Wiley Drayton O'Shields. Nancy O'Shields did not live in Walnut Grove Spartanburg S.C. Nancy O'Shields moved from Spartanburg around 1855. W.G.S. O'Shields maybe never did get to see his grandmother O'Shields. Nancy O'Shields was living in Pickens with her daughter Polly Ann O'Shields. Polly Ann was married to Ben' Epps. So we see grandaddy as he done research of his own. Yes he wrote lot's in the family Bible.
