Eloise Osbourne/Osborne

I am looking for Eloise OSBORNE/OSBOURNE (unknown birth date & place, unknown death date & place) who married Asa Daniel GOWER (abt. 1886, possibly in AR). They had 2 children: Laura Margaret (b. 10 Dec 1906, AR, my grandmother)& Nina (b. 15 May 1905, AR). The only information known about Asa's spouse except her name and a possible connection to relatives in IL.

I have 2 census records from 1910 that seem to support the following family stories:

1. Asa & his daughters lived in Memphis, TN. He is found lodging in Memphis and working as a carpenter. Eliose is nowhere to be found and his children are not listed with him. The age is correct, but his name is documented as "Ace".

2. For a short time, Eloise & Asa's daughters were placed in a Catholic orphanage. They appear in Memphis as inmates of the "Day Nunnery & Half Orphanage. The ages may have been accidentally reversed (Laura is listed as 8, Nina as 5).

The only other information that I have is that Asa & his daughters may have lived Newnata & Little Rock, AR. It is unknown at what time. By the time my grandmother was a teenager, the family had moved to Minnesota. Asa was also known to have lived in Yakima, WA, in later years. If anyone has other information or corroborating documentation to which I could be directed, I would be greatly appreciative.

Cheryl
