John Osborn had a brother Richard Osborne (1717 - 1777) who married in 1739 Christina DeBaun (1718 - 1802)(sister of Elizabeth DeBaun).Their father was Nathaniel Osborne (b ca 1690, prob East Hampton, LI, NY)(d ca 1724 - 1726).Nathaniel and his brother William Osborn were part of the north moiety of the Kakiat Patent (they purchased ca 1712), at this time it was in NJ, before the border changed when it became part of NY.According to the "History of Rockland County New York" by David Cole, DD, and the Rand Genealogy by Frances Osgood; Nathaniel Osborne was the son of Thomas Osborne Jr, who was the son of Thomas Osborne who emigrated from England, to MA, to New Haven, CT, to East Hampton, LI, NY.I'm descended from John's brother Richard, and am still searching for proof.Am willing to share information.
