My dad’s first cousin was King Austin Wilmot, b. Aug 1908 in Geauga Co OH, d. 1989 in Sarasota FL. King was son of Charles Austin and Mabel Lida (Shaw) Wilmot of Chardon OH.
King and Elizabeth (OSBORNE) Wilmot had a daughter Carol, who would be my 2nd cousin.
I am researching my Wilmot family of Claridon Twp., Geauga Co OH, and I have gathered much information, including photographs. But King Wilmot was an only child and I have very little information about that line. I know that he was an attorney for many years in Cleveland Heights, OH, and he was involved in one case that eventually went all the way to the Supreme Court. He was also a direct descendant of the pilgrim William Brewster, of the Mayflower, and there is a very detailed connection to European royalty in our genealogical history.
