Donald, Jr. Osborne 4/30/01
Well this William Osborne is a little too late for my purposes, but I don't have many William's so regardless does any one know of a possible connection between my Charity (Burton?) (Osborne?) TRENT of East TN and a possible husband named William Osborne (some where in the western NC-VA areas since she and my William Trent (Sr.) were md. in Grayson Co., VA in 1796.
They (Charity & William O.) would have produced a son named James (Burton) who later became James Trent in TN AND THIS William Osborne is supposely (old family story) said to have been nicknamed "Tine" Osborne AND/OR HIS parents were said to have been a William "Tine" Osborne and Bessie TYLER of Ashe Co., NC.
This Charity is said to have had an older sister named Jane (Osborne?) or (Burton?) and a younger sister named Elizabeth Burton who md in early 1810's to 1820 another connected TRENT in East TN.
All this supposes one to believe that all three sisters were originally maiden named BURTONS, of whom one md. a TRENT in Grayson Co., VA in 1792 and the second one md. his half-brother in 1796 and the younger sister married a later Trent much later in East TN.
So any connections to a William "Tine" OSBORNE in the time frame from what?, 1780 to 1796 would be appreciated, IF there are any?
There does seen to have been an Andrew "Tine" Osborne of SWVA or NC but I don't know if he fits this time period, if he could have been named William Andrew Osborn(e) or Andrew William Osborn(e) AND/OR have had a connection to some one who could fit my "family story"...???
