Isaac Osborn 1810/1 - 1880, Sussex Co, NJ
I am interested in the Isaac Osborn who married Mary/Mariann Kimble (as her second husband).I found 2 Isaac Osborn/Osburn in the 1850 Census, for Sussex County. The other Isaac was born ca 1822/3.
I find the family (Isaac W. & Mary Orsborn) in the 1850 Census, in Hardyston, Sussex Co, NJ.Living next door are Richard & Caroline Orsborn; I do not know if they are related.
Mariann (Kimble) Osborn died in 1850 and was buried in the Baptist Burying Ground, Hamburg, with her 1st husband, Peter Hubbard.
By the 1870 Census, I am guessing that Isaac had remarried, as the family of Isaac & Prudence Osborn are found in Sparta, with 8 children. The youngest is Edward, born ca 1869.
I have not found Isaac or Prudence Osborn in the 1880 Census, though there is an Isaac Orsbourn living with Martha Orsbourn.I suspect this is the other Isaac, and they are the children of Henry Osburn & Bethany Chidester; Henry being the son of Barzilla/Burzelia Osborn/Osburn.
Looking for Isaac & Prudence's children, I did find an Edward Osborne, age 10, living with Thomas B. Gould & his wife Susan.Susan is the daughter of Isaac & Mariann Osborn. This is one of the reasons I suspect Isaac remarried.
I found Isaac W. Osborn, 1810-1880, along with his wife Bede Ann Massacher 1834-1880, and a daughter, in the Sparta Cemetery.I also found Henry & Bethana Osburn, their son Isaac (died 1899) and other family members buried in this cemetery.
With both family groups living in the Sparta area and found in the Sparta Cemetery, I wonder if Isaac, who married Mariann & Prudence, may be related to Henry & Bethany Osburn.
Does anyone recognize the Isaac Osborn I am interested in?
