Below are three e-mails I have sent you.On the chance they are not getting to you I will copy/paste them below.
I have a John and Thomas from Kent. What other names are mentioned. They left England for the States around 1634/1637.A family of tanners.Sounds interesting
Are you sure the document doesn't say "long island" instead of Tonge island? My John Osborne came from Kent England with his father Thomas.John had both a John and Thomas as sons.John Sr. was a founding father of Wainscott N.Y. on Long Island and an early settler of East Hampton Long Island. Is there a Caleb mentioned?
Old english upper case L's look like the letter "T" and the old english spelling could have an "e" on the end.So Tonge Island could be Long Island? There is a Tonge Island but it extends from a glacier and is unlikely to have been passed down. Our family bought land from the Native Americans on long Island in the 1600's.
Thanks,Don Osborne
