To Tom Patrick:

Glad to hear from you, cousin. We are remarkably closely related. George and Rosina Orwig's daughter, Sarah A married Samuel Miller. They moved shortly after their marriage from Mifflinburg, PA in a Conestoga wagon to the northwestern part of Ohio, and finally settled in what is now Bellevue, OH. They are my mother's great-grandparents whom she knew as a child. My mother, if she were living would be 109 years old now, so we are talking about long-ago things.

I have some different information about Emeline. Her parents are Jacob Deibert Orwig and Amanda Hartmen, daughter of George Hartman and Barbara Fry. Amanda was born in 1824 and died April 7, 1906. Jacob was born October 14, 1811 near Mifflinburg, PA and died on September 1, 1847, but I don't know where. Emeline had two brothers, George and Jacob, and I don't know any more about them. I do know a great deal about the Orwigs, though, and will be glad to share it with you. As for pictures, you have a lot more than I. I have a picture of Samuel and Sarah Orwig Miller, but nothing farther back.

My e mail is woesterlin@yahoo.com. Write to me. Bill
