This tour was made just prior to the Civil War and included an incident near Auburn, Alabama in which the entire Circus company were arrested and held for several days. My 3G Grandfather, James Madderra worked as a Ringmaster for that tour. If any Orton family member has information regarding this circus tour, please contact me. Thank you in advance!
