Hello One More Time,Laura:
The only thing different which I have on Maria Ortiz is that
she was born in 1613 instead of 1618 as you have.Other than that I have basically the same information.
I don't have any further information on Maria's lineage.I do
have the lineage of Cristobal Vasquez de Lara I back two gen
erations further back.
The information which I have is as follows:
Maria Ortiz - born 1613 in Santa Maria de Los Lagos,Nueva Ga
licia.Married in 1633 to Cristobal Vasquez de Lara I.
Maria Ortiz died on 9-January,1684 in San Juan de los Lagos,
Nueva Galicia.
Cristobal Vasquez de Lara was born in 1607 in Santa Maria de
los Lagos and died between 1640 and 1698.
Father of Cristobal Vasquez de Lara I was Martin Vasquez de Gil y Lara who was born in 1575 in Mexico City,Mexico. He mar
ried Ana Garcia de Miranda in 1599 in Santa Maria de los La-
gos,Nueva Galicia.Died about 1666.
Ana Garcia de Miranda was born in 1581 in Santa Maria de los
Lagos and died 6-February,1659/60 in Jalo(my sheet cuts off
here and thus the name of the city is incomplete).
Father of Martin Vasquez de Gil y Lara was Juan Vasquez-born
in 1550 in Mexico City,Mexico.Married Elvira Gil de Lara in 1570 in Mexico City.Died between 1579 and 1641.Elvira Gil de
Lara was born in 1550 in Mexico City and died between 1579 and 1644.
That's it on that line.No further information on Maria Ortiz.
Thanks again for your time and attention.
Robert O. Blea
