I saw your response to someone requesting information on the Ortega family. I too am looking for my roots and only know that my great grandfather, Guiellermo Ortega, left Sonora Mexico during the Revolution and made his way to the United States. He was somewhere between 15 and 17 years of age at that time. He eventually settled in the Central Valley of California where he married a woman by the name of Manuela and started a family. His middle name may be Banda, but that may be his wife’s maiden name instead. We are not sure. Any information you can provide will be very helpful. Our genealogy trail stops with him as he came by himself to the US and didn’t talk much about his days in Mexico.

Please email any information you may have to mgaeta23@yahoo.com

Thank you so much!
