I too am looking for my roots and only know that my great grandfather, Guillermo Ortega, left Sonora Mexico during the Revolution and made his way to the United States. He was somewhere between 15 and 17 years of age at that time. He eventually settled in the Central Valley of California where he married a woman by the name of Manuela and started a family. His middle name may be Banda, but that may be his wifeís maiden name instead. We are not sure. Any information you can provide will be very helpful. Our genealogy trail stops with him as he came by himself to the US and didnít talk much about his days in Mexico.

Thank you so much!
