Jean Ann,
I went back and did an analysis of the naming pattern and baptismal sponsorships for Evert and Wyntje De Vouw and quickly saw why this Evert is placed as a son of Steyntje Nagel. She sponsored for this couple, and there was a daughter named for her.
Case closed.
I have no relationship whatever to these folks by the way, just trying to get my overall data straight, and I hadn't gone into this sufficiently carefully before.
I haven't found a marriage for:
"Elbert bp 1688 married Sophia DeRevier"
but did find:
Members Tarrytown DRC
September 19, 1730.
195. Sophia De Revier, wife of Elbert Aarse
I still need to do some work on this one.
