Hello, Upon researching my line I traced back to Arison and found nothing but dead ends. I stumbled on a very intersting gedcom one day that changed everything. The original immigrant from Germany was named Orrison. As the generations progressed one of the children (my line) changed the spelling to Arison. I have your Ananias Orrison as a brother to John Arison. This happened alot and explains why it is so difficult to trace lines. I have some additional information if you're interested or cannot make this connection.
